How we build these guides
Fareroo is an independent travel guide. We're not a travel agency: we organise open data and link you to the airline, hotel or booking site to book.
Where the data comes from
- Routes and airlines: an open dataset of every passenger airport's current nonstop routes, operating airlines and scheduled flight times, updated weekly. We only publish a route guide when at least one airline currently operates the route nonstop.
- Cities, countries, time zones, currencies and translated place names: Travelpayouts' public data files.
- Airport details: OurAirports (public domain).
- Photos: Wikimedia Commons, under free licences, credited on each page and on our photo credits page.
What we compute
Great-circle distances, distance-based flight-time estimates (clearly labelled as estimates), current time differences, how far each airport is from the city centre, nearby airports with service on the same trip, and common one-stop connection points (cities with nonstop service at both ends and little detour).
Prices
We don't invent prices. Buttons open a live search on our partners' sites for real dates you can change. If we show a price, it says where and when we saw it.
What we never do
- Recommend hidden-city ticketing or exploits of booking-site bugs.
- Invent prices, reviews, ratings, scarcity or countdown timers.
- Hide how we make money: see our affiliate disclosure.
