Points & miles helper
See where your points can go and whether an award beats paying cash.
Which points do you have?
Cash or points? Quick calculator
Cents per point = (cash price − taxes you’d still pay on the award) ÷ points needed. Enter what you actually see on the airline or hotel site.
Find the cash price: compare fares on Aviasales. A 1¢ benchmark is a common rule of thumb, not a valuation; set your own.

- Find the trip and note the cash price.
- Search the award on the airline or hotel partner’s own site (log in to its loyalty program) and note points + taxes.
- Run the calculator above. If it’s worth it, check the transfer ratio shown in your card’s portal.
- Make sure the names on both accounts match exactly, then transfer only what you need: transfers are usually final.
- Book the award right away; award seats can disappear. If you can, hold the reservation before you transfer.

FAQ
How do I know if points are worth it?
Divide the cash price minus the award's taxes by the points needed. Compare the result (cents per point) with your own benchmark.
Are transfers reversible?
Usually not. The issuers say transfers are final, so find the award first.
