- Your hotel: most hotels hold bags for guests before check-in and after check-out, often for free. Ask in advance.
- Station and airport lockers: handy, but sizes and availability vary and some stations removed them for security reasons.
- Luggage storage networks: apps that let you book a spot in a nearby shop or hotel, usually priced per bag per day, often with insurance included.
Tips
- Book storage near where you'll spend the day or near the station you'll leave from.
- Keep passports, medication, chargers and valuables with you.
- Check opening hours. A shop that closes at 7 p.m. is no help for a 10 p.m. train.
- Take a photo of your bag and the receipt or tag.
